Charles Carrin Ministries
Hooray and Hallelujah
“Charles Carrin is the kind of man of God who comes around once in a generation. This book will speak for itself and make you see why I am honored to be associated with him. You will not be able to put this book down. You will want to secure many copies and give them to friends.” —R.T. Kendall
“Leaving the servant’s quarters for the intimacy of the Father’s house is the transformation that took place in my life after meeting Charles Carrin. Experiencing a true spiritual father who has encouraged me to a life of passion and power. I’m beyond grateful for Charles and his 70+ years of transformative ministry. —Leif Hetland, President, Global Mission Awareness
Hooray and Hallelujah is the personal testimony of one pastor’s escape from mere doctrinal preaching to his experiencing the visible works of the Holy Spirit. In reading Charles Carrin’s account you will discover the solution to many of your own spiritual needs.
Midway in Charles’ 70 year-ministry, personal tragedy forced him to ignore his denominationalism and search deeper into Scripture. Something vital was missing. The answer he sought came unexpectedly when a Spirit-filled prisoner in the Atlanta Federal Penitentiary laid-hands on him. To his shock, Charles was “filled with the Holy Spirit” (Acts 1:8). Since that historic event, he has carried the message of renewal to thousands around the world. Charles’ message and the testimonies of those rescued will bring the answers you seek.
On Whose Authority?
Jesus said: "Heaven and earth shall pass away but My words will by no means pass away." Matthew 24:35.
God the Father said: "My Covenant I will not break nor alter the Word that is gone out of my lips." Psalms 89:34.
Jesus said to the Father:
"ForI have given to them (the disciples) the words which You have given Me, and they have received them..." John 17:8.
Peter said: "But the word of the Lord endures forever. Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you." 1 Peter 1:25.
Peter said again: "Knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit." II Peter 1:21.
Paul said: "Be diligent...rightly dividing the word of truth." II Timothy 2:15.
Paul said again: "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable." II Timothy 3:16.
Paul said once more: "But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed." Galatians 1:8.
David said: "Forever, O Lord, Your Word is settled in Heaven." Psalm 119:89.
Moses said: "This is the blood of the Covenant which God has commanded you." Hebrews 9:20.
"For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and goats, with water, scarlet work, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people." 9:19.
John the Apostle said: "For I testify to everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book, and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the Book of Life, from the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." Revelation 22:18,19
QUESTION TO THE MODERN CHURCH:
Dare we edit what "holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit?"
Word Spirit Power
A deadly divide threatens our faith. Too often we draw line in the sand. We emphasize knowing the Bible without welcoming the work of the Holy Spirit. Or we focus on the Spirit—seeking signs, wonders and manifestations—while neglecting sound Biblical teaching.
This divide prevents our becoming the effective, empowered people He wants us to be. When we prize the Word over the Spirit or the Spirit over the Word, we miss an element central to our faith. Just as reliably as with a mathematical equation, we need both the Word and the Spirit to live as God intends and to access the power available to us to draw a lost world to His Son.
It's time to erase the lines, bridge the gap, balance the equation. Only when the Word is honored and the Holy Spirit welcomed will the Lord manifest His power, bringing salvation, understanding, miracles, healings and much more. Only then can you live the truly effective, fruitful life He has empowered you to live.
With over 170 years of diverse ministry experiences among them, respected veteran authors and leaders R.T Kendal, Charles Carrin and Jack Taylor have a passion to restore balance to the Christian walk. They have conducted the popular "Word Spirit Power" conferences around the world for more than ten years.
The Edge of Glory
The astonishing events in the Book of Acts happened to ordinary people who received the power of the Holy Spirit and became "laborers together with God."
The Same Power is Available to You!
Jesus said, "These signs will accompany those who believe...they will drive out demons; they will speak in new tounges...they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well" (Mark 16:17-18). Such miraculous displays are called spiritual gifts - given to the Church by God. Paul said, "Pursue love and desire spiritual gifts."
If you believe that God has more for you than salvation, if you long to be filled with His Holy Spirit, if you desire the gifts of the Spirit, then get ready to recieve!
Paul commanded the lame man to stand and walk!'
Peter's shadow brought healing to invalids!
Cornelius and his family spoke in tounges!
Philip's four daughters Prophesied!
Philip drove out demons!
The same Power is available to you!
One day while exploring an ocean reef at low tide, I found a young moray eel that had been stranded in a small coral rock pool and left to die. The out-going tide had trapped him and he was already lifeless when I arrived. My heart hurt for him for he was just inches from the water he desperately needed. But while I was wishing that I had arrived soon enough to help, another fact came to mind. I could not have rescued him anyway. Had I attempted to pick him up, he would have misunderstood my motive. Instinctively, he would have fought me, thinking I was an enemy who would bring harm. In that tragic confusion he would have chosen death rather than life–not because death was necessary, but because he would not have recognized the danger he was in or that rescue was genuinely possible.
I came away from the reef that day with a deep impression in my heart. It was as if the Lord were saying, "What you have seen in the eel is the circumstance of my Christian children too. Many do not realize that they are in pools that will soon be dry. Since they refuse to look beyond the reef of their own churches, they cannot see how much their water level has fallen. Warn them what the receding tide really means. Tell them they are in the final days. Even when they distrust your motive and mistake you for an enemy, offer your help. Love them. Keep on loving them. Let your love encourage them to believe that my Spirit, like an ocean of living water is ready to come as a tidal wave upon them. They need not perish in the dried up pools of their own reef. I am willing to give my Spirit to those who ask me and it will become a river of living water flowing out of them."
This book is an attempt to pick up the eel.

Island in the Sun
When James Danbury threw open the door to his pastor on a stormy night in 1842, he never imagined that the news his pastor carried-and the bundle he cradled in his arms-would forever change the Danbury world.
THE AUTHOR Charles Carrin, a naturalist and a historian, has devoted much of his life to exploring the history and outdoors of the state his ancestors helped establish. From a background rich in personal history and tradition, Charles writes about early Florida with passion and insight. Born in Homestead, Florida, on the edge of the Everglades in 1930, he is a fifth generation Floridian, descended from two pioneer-Florida preachers who rode the circuit to minister to their parishioners during the war years.
His great-great-grandmother, born in 1798, is buried on the banks of the Suwanee River. With Native American ancestry in each family tree, Charles portrays the Seminole War with sensitivity towards red, black, and white men alike. In 1949, his plans to study botany in Central America were overridden by a clear directive from the Lord, calling Charles into Christian ministry. Now in his sixty-first year of ministry and retired from pastoring a church, his schedule remains busy with speaking engagements, writing, and mentoring of younger pastors. His monthly articles can be viewed at www.CharlesCarrinMinistries.com
Charles resides in Boynton Beach, Florida. Dorothy Easley has been blessed by the ministry of Charles Carrin since she was a child, and Charles baptized her father. She is descended from pioneers who established a trading post in Florida in the 1800's. Dorothy's fore-parents were the first white settlers to permit Indians to make purchases on credit and always maintained good relations with local tribes. Dorothy teaches math at Broward College. She and her husband Ralph make their home in South Florida.
